Sarah received her calling to music ministry at an early age and has a heart for planning music for worship. She has directed church choirs for 29 years and has taught elementary music for 15 years.

Sarah is from Longview, Texas, and graduated from Pine Tree High School. She met her husband, Mike, in Longview, and they have been married for 42 years and have three amazing kids — Brad, Brittany, and Brandon. They also have two wonderful in-laws. Brittany is married to Marty and they have two daughters, Addison and Parker. Brandon is married to Barbara and they have two sons, Decklan and Daulton.

Sarah cannot remember a time when she did not sing. To her recollection, her earliest solo was in third grade when she performed “Away in a Manger” in a Christmas program. She sang in school and church choirs her entire life, and studied voice and music education at SMU in Dallas.

Sarah has been the Director of Music Ministries for more than 20 years. She directs the non-traditional service choir and leads the Praise Team in worship. She also directs the handbell choir in seasonal presentations. As a minister of music, she encourages all to experience the healing joy that comes from praising God through music. When she isn’t directing the choir, you can find Sarah in the church’s front office.

Something that Sarah struggles with is intolerance for one another person’s beliefs. We are all God’s children, and she prays that we will begin to heal as we learn to really listen to each other without judgement.

In their limited free time, she (along with her husband) loves spending time with their beautiful grandchildren. They also love date nights with dinner and a movie.
