What Is Truth?
What is truth? This is Christ the King Sunday. We don’t ‘do kings’ in our culture. And historically, we fight against them. So what does it mean to say that Christ/Jesus is king? We might say, “Jesus is Lord of my life!” But what does that even mean? Israel wanted a human king to be like other nations, to fit in with the surrounding culture. If the triune God is really our King (if Jesus is really our Lord), then we won’t fit in. Are we willing?
