Yes, we have certainly been living in a drought. This is when we learn just how deep our roots actually go because that’s where water is found. We think of deep roots coming from age, but all trees don’t have the same kind of root system. Some branch out far and multiply quickly, like palm trees. Others have a more compacted root system that grows deeply, like conifers. We must maintain a clear focus in a drought, a focus trusting in God, continuing to bear fruit.
