Today, Christmas seems to be one of the biggest days in the Christian year. Yet it was not always so…Christmas was actually quite late to the party. Easter and Pentecost where the first big celebrations with Lent as a time of preparation for baptism at Easter. Baptism was also a central theme to Epiphany which also preceded Christmas as a celebrated day. On this very important day, we will consider what made the wise ones wise…and why those gifts rather than diapers or food or a stroller? What made those particular gifts wise choices and how does this inform our own wise choices?
