New Covenant UMC

On this Sunday we celebrate the promise of God: we are never to be termed “forsaken.” God’s covenant brings abundant life and our discipleship compels us to share this river of God’s delight with others. In Corinthians we are invited to see the gifts of the Spirit within the community. The verse in today’s Call to Worship (if you choose to use the song that goes with this series) reminds us that God delights when, “for sake of life,” we use those gifts of prophecy, healing, and teaching to let streams of justice roll. We will also continue in our baptism theme with a baptism this Sunday of one committing to share her gifts in our community. There should be plenty of tears of joy to go around….
