Chasing After Righteousness
We all do this, right? This one’s easy! Not so much. To hunger and thirst for righteousness is not reclining and waiting to be filled with good stuff just because we want it, if we even want the ‘right’ stuff. This is a longing for things in our world to be set right…just...to live according to the way God created us to be…seeking not equality but equity. It is a longing for redemption, not retribution or revenge. And, yes, it requires action and not just longing. This is a long haul commitment to work for justice in our world.
