Chasing After a Vision of God
Eyes have been called the mirror of the soul. We can tell a lot about people by looking deeply into their eyes. We too often try to turn the mirror around and make God into a mirror image of us…it’s a very poor reflection to say the least. To be pure in heart, one must be focused on service of God and all that it means. Can’t serve two masters. But if God consumes us, we will see that image all around us in nature, in good deeds and most of all, in other people…friends and enemies alike. Only then can we trust one another with our true selves. Or we can be spiritually blind and see only faint images of God.
